What is Mobile Physical Therapy?

Mobile physical therapy is the same as outpatient physical therapy, except I come to you. I bring a treatment table and rehab equipment. Your treatment sessions will consist of an examination to determine what needs to be worked on. Many treatment sessions will include manual therapy to decrease your pain or improve your range of motion. Then I will teach you a customized strength and mobility exercise routine so you can target your weaknesses and get your injury to heal. In every session I will update your home exercises so you are continually making progress towards your goals. All sessions are a full hour, one-on-one, ensuring you have a comprehensive recovery plan and get the time and attention that you deserve.

Benefits of Mobile Physical Therapy:

  • 1-on-1: In most other clinics, you will work with a busy physical therapist who is often treating multiple patients at the same time or who hands your treatment off to an aide or assistant. At Expedition PT all of our sessions are one-on-one for an hour. I don’t hand your care off to an assistant, and I help you from the beginning to the end of the session.

  • Targeted Approach: “Use a scalpel instead of a sledgehammer.” At many other clinics you will get the kitchen-sink approach where the physical therapist gives you a long list of exercises to do while they attend to their notes or other patients. I take the time to analyze where you are weak, where you lack range of motion, and what imbalances need targeted corrective interventions.

  • Flexibility: I can travel to you around your schedule. If you work from home or have specific times that work around your family, I can come to you when it’s convenient.

  • Cost: There are no additional travel costs for mobile physical therapy. I take insurance and charge the same rates a traditional clinic would charge.
