Shoulder, Neck, or Upper Back Pain Shouldn’t Control Your Life

Targeted, 1-on-1 physical therapy that addresses the root cause of pain, not just temporary relief.

Serving Everett, Mukilteo, Marysville, and the Surrounding Areas.

If Pain Keeps Coming Back, Something Is Being Missed

Shoulder, neck, and upper back pain often linger because the real problem isn’t being addressed. Stretching, rest, or generic exercises may help temporarily, but the pain returns.

At Expedition PT, we take a different approach. We identify why your pain started and design a plan to fix it, so you can move freely again without constantly managing symptoms.

Physical Therapy Designed for Chronic & Recurring Pain

  • 60-Minute One-on-One Sessions — Your therapist works with you the entire visit

  • Root-Cause Assessment — Not just “where it hurts,” but why it hurts

  • Hands-On Manual Therapy — Relieve tension, restore movement, and reduce pain

  • Strength & Movement Retraining — Fix imbalances that keep pain returning

  • Clear, Personalized Plan — No guessing. No generic exercises.

Scott McAmis, PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT

Dr. Scott became fascinated with the field of physical therapy after a knee injury sidelined him from playing sports as a young athlete. After a surgery and the helpful care of a physical therapist, he was able to return to playing sports. He also continued on to other goals, eventually becoming a mountaineer and rock climber. Through his experience, Scott discovered the fundamental relationship between movement and health.

Board-certified orthopedic physical therapist with 10+ years of experience helping people overcome pain, recover from injury, and return to meaningful movement — from daily life to outdoor adventures.

    • Healthcare Management Administrators

    • Medicare - Up to 25% of my caseload is reserved for Medicare patients

    * Don’t see your insurance listed? Some insurances have good out-of-network coverage. Ask me to look up your insurance benefit if you don’t see your insurance plan here.

  • In most cases, no referral is required to start physical therapy. Medicare is the main exception—patients with Medicare can schedule an initial appointment, but will need a referral from a physician before their first visit to ensure coverage. Most other insurance plans allow direct access to physical therapy without a referral.

  • In our first visit we will discuss your injury, and a lot of the time is spent doing an exam to find out what your injury is, and what imbalances may contribute to your injury. In the first visit you will get exercises and movements to do as your home exercise program to start healing your injury.

Follow-up visits often involve a combination of manual therapy and exercises. My main emphasis is on making sure that you understand what is causing your injury and to make sure that you have the tools you need to get your injury to heal.

  • Mobile physical therapy is ideal if you prefer treatment in your home, have a home gym, or want to fit care into a busy or work-from-home schedule—I bring the necessary equipment to you. In-clinic physical therapy is a great option if you want the same one-on-one care but don’t have an ideal space at home or prefer a professional clinical environment for your sessions.

  • No. I bill your insurance exactly the same as I would if you saw any other physical therapist at a physical therapy clinic.
